After installing one of the caching programs: APC, Eaccelerator or Xcache for phpmyadmin to work, you need to disable their operation in the Apache2 configuration file.
vi /etc/apache2/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf
was:
...
php_admin_value safe_mode off
DirectoryIndex index.php
...became:
...
php_admin_value safe_mode off
# APC:
php_admin_flag apc.enabled Off
# Eaccelerator
php_admin_value eaccelerator.enable 0
# Xcache
php_admin_value xcache.cacher Off
php_admin_value xcache.stat Off
php_admin_value xcache.optimizier Off
DirectoryIndex index.php
...After saving the configuration file, you need to restart the web server with the command:
/etc/init.d/apache2 restart
Possible errors if you do not disable the caching system for phpmyadmin:
1. During page loading, the connection to the server was reset
2. White screen when opening phpmyadmin
