Today we will install on the router wifi router TP-Link TL-WR741ND Ver:4.20 firmware OpenWRT last at the time of writing article 15.05 version. Since the Internet is mainly instructions for this router to install only the old version of the firmware, the firmware addresses will be indicated below.

We need a firmware called openwrt-15.05-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr741nd-v4-squashfs-factory.bin

Open the web interface of your router wr741nd, and go to the firmware installation page at: System Tools - Firmware Upgrade:
Clicking on the Review button, select the downloaded firmware and press the Upgrade button:
In the window that opens, press the button. OK. to confirm and start the process of installing OpenWRT firmware on the router TL-WR741ND:
After completing the firmware installation process, restart the router, connect it to your computer by connecting to the router port and automatically receive an IP address from the router’s DHCP server. We enter the admin of the router by typing in the browser address:
http://192.168.1.1/
For the first entry, you need to specify a login root passwordless and press the login button Login. I strongly recommend setting a complex password for the entrance to the admin click on the link highlighted at the top of the admin. Go to password configuration... and keep the changes.
Today, we installed the latest OpenWRT firmware at the time of writing on the TP-Link TL-WR741ND WIFI router.
