In new distributions, after installing the vi editor, mouse highlighting does not work by default, which is wildly inconvenient when copying from server configuration files. To enable the selection of text by mouse, you need a .vimrc file in the user’s home folder:

Create a file:
vi /root/.vimrc set mouse=
You can create a file with content in the root folder of the user:
echo 'set mouse=' > /root/.vimrc
